autism and friends

January 5, 2019 by Chris Clarkson (Register to contact)

the autistic class I was in at eastmoor high school made it so that I missed out on a social life. I never had the chance to know the high school juniors or seniors, both male and female. That's what caused me to be a phoneaholic. Not being allowed to reach out to others when I needed to. My top priority for 2019 is to fight for the mentally challenged in terms of schooling, housing, and employment. I'm not trying to rehash the past, but I want other students to not go the same route that I had went. I want to see special classes wiped out. I want to see typicals and handicapped learn together. I can't relive the eastmoor experience, but I want others to have a better future than what I had. . . .
